Dates, guests and minimum stays

Why some dates are unavailable and how guest limits work.

For guests

Unavailable dates

Dates can be unavailable because someone else has booked them, or because the host has blocked them — for maintenance, personal use, or any other reason. Blocked dates are not shown as bookings; they simply cannot be selected.

Minimum stays

Hosts can set a minimum number of nights. If your dates are shorter than the minimum, the listing will tell you before you try to book.

Guest limits

Each listing has a maximum number of guests, set by the host. The guest picker will not let you exceed it. If you searched for more guests than a listing allows, the picker drops to that listing's maximum rather than blocking you.

Infants and pets do not count towards the guest limit in search. Check the listing's house rules for the host's own policy.
