How search works

Browsing by city, searching a destination, and using filters.

For guests

When you open EthioBete you see rows of places grouped by city — "Popular homes in Addis Ababa", and so on. You can browse these without searching for anything.

Searching a destination

Use the search bar at the top to set three things:

  • Where — type a place name and pick from the suggestions, or choose "Nearby" to use your current location.
  • When — your check-in and check-out dates.
  • Who — how many guests. Infants and pets do not count towards a listing's guest limit.

Searching switches the page to a map and list view, showing places within a radius of the destination you chose.

Filters

Open Filters to narrow by price, amenities, Instant Book, and how far to search. The category row along the top (Apartments, Cabins, Guesthouses…) filters by property type.

If a search returns nothing, widen the radius or clear your filters — the ↺ Reset filters link clears everything at once.

Your dates follow you

The dates and guest count you searched with carry through to the listing page, so the price you see already reflects your trip. They also survive signing in, so you do not lose your selection partway through booking.
