How much you earn as a host

Your payout, the host service fee, and where tax sits.

For hosts

Your payout is the room subtotal plus your cleaning fee, minus a 2% host service fee on the room subtotal.

The guest service fee and VAT are not yours and never form part of your earnings — VAT is remitted to the authorities, and the service fees are what keep the platform running.

Worked example

A 3-night booking at $50 a night with a $20 cleaning fee:

Room subtotal$150.00
Cleaning fee$20.00
Host service fee (2%)−$3.00
You receive$167.00

Your Transactions page shows this per booking, and Reports shows revenue over time.

How you receive your payout

Tell us how to pay you under Account → Payouts: choose telebirr, CBE Birr, a bank transfer or another method, and enter the account or phone number and the name on it.

Add your payout details before your first guest checks out — we cannot send your earnings until they are on file.

The same page shows Earned, Paid out and Owed to you. Earnings become payable once a stay has ended; our team then sends what is owed to the details you saved, and each payment appears in your payout history.

⚠️ You are responsible for declaring your earnings and meeting any tax obligations where you live.
