Paying for a booking

How payment works and what card details we hold.

For guests

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page. You are taken there to pay and returned here afterwards.

We never see or store your card number. We keep only a payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded — enough to show your booking history and process refunds.

What happens if payment fails

Nothing is booked and you are not charged. Try again from My trips, or use a different card.

If the page looks stuck after paying

Refresh the page. Payment is confirmed by Stripe directly to our servers, so a booking completes even if your browser loses the connection on the way back. Your trip will show as paid in My trips.

Currency

You can display prices in USD, EUR, GBP or ETB using the switcher in the header or footer. Charges are always processed in US dollars — the checkout page and the amount on your card statement are in USD.

Prices shown in EUR, GBP or ETB are an approximate guide, updated daily. The exact amount you pay is the USD figure at checkout, and your bank sets its own conversion rate.
